Who do we treat?

Hello! My name is Allison Samelko and I am a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist with a passion for helping individuals of all ages achieve their communication goals. With years of diverse experience in the field, I am thrilled to offer private speech therapy services within the comfort of your home or location of your choosing.

I have had the privilege of working in various settings, each contributing to my comprehensive understanding and expertise in speech and language therapy. My career began in a preschool environment, where I developed a deep appreciation for early childhood speech and language development. Working with young children taught me the importance of play-based and family-centered therapy approaches.

Following my time in the preschool setting, I transitioned to inpatient rehabilitation, where I worked with adults recovering from strokes, traumatic brain injuries, and other neurological conditions. This experience honed my skills in addressing complex communication and swallowing disorders, providing me with a thorough understanding of the rehabilitative process.

Most recently, I worked in outpatient rehabilitation, where I had the opportunity to treat individuals across the lifespan with a wide range of speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders. This setting allowed me to focus on personalized treatment plans, utilizing evidence-based practices to achieve meaningful progress for my clients.
